Skinning with Vanity universe |
|
|
|
Vanity universe is starting to make more and more great skins, therefore making the population looking even better. The event will be featuring the most incredible skin makers and will last until the 5th of April, promising something for every one. The first few day were causing laggs on the place, but we DO believe that was caused just by the peoples excitement. Annyka Bekkers of Blowpop had this to say: “I'd have to say that the Skin Fair is going pretty well for me so far. The beginning was a little rocky with the ripping controversy and the show was too overcrowded for anyone to get in. But since then, I'd say it’s been pretty positive for me.”

GENESIS - If you’re looking for a one-stop shop in Second Life, you’ll come across few as well-stocked or as carefully put together as Adam n Eve shops where you can pick their best works from a vast selections of clothing, skins, shoes, hair and jewelery for both men and women.
The newest addition to the Adam n Eve catalogue, released this week, is the Casual wear range, designed for the classy avatar to show off during their day-to-day Second Life.
"I wanted to extend my range of casuals and we always pride ourselves on our quality, so I wanted to theme the new collection as high class day wear for classy avatars," says sachi Vixen, the designer behind the range.
“The sort of avatar I imagine in these outfits is someone with a sense of style who likes to look pretty, original and enjoys mixing and matching items to create different looks, therefore achieving the "WOW" effect.”
Vixen will be creating new pieces for the range throughout the next few months. "I'll be adding to it through the spring and summer, then probably making a new collection for the fall/winter," she said.

WEST OF IRELAND - There will be more than green beer at this year’s Festival of Saint Patrick going on the March 17. The festival will be sponsored by two organizations on two sims, West of Ireland and Second Life Belfast hosting a widely spread number of events with a goal of raising money for project: "Project Children".
Both organizations are dedicated to promoting Irish culture through entertainment in connection with second life.
“The festival will do a number of things, beyond being a great time. It will introduce many more people to Project Children than we would normally reach in a week.” Sioban McMahon, CEO of West of Ireland, said.
“It will also raise more donations in those days than we normally do most months. Additionally, it's allowing us to show the heart and soul of the Irish people to SL. Being of Irish descent is about history, culture, music, family, and fun. It's not just green beer.”
Project Children is a project that raises money to bring Irish Protestant and Catholic children to visit the U.S. and stay with host families. Project Children attempts to break down barriers between communities and religious groups in Ireland
C-ya at the festival, it'll be great fun!

Darkmere invades Artificial Isle, party ensues |

ARTIFICIAL ISLE—A state of blissful confusion could well describe the atmosphere surrounding Saturday’s event where Darkmere and Caledonian ships invaded the waters surrounding Artificial Isle in response to an attack made by ZATZAi Asturias on Lucifer Baphomet’s radio show.
“Lucifer and I are friends, and I wanted a way to promote his radio show and my own efforts. So last week I ‘attacked’ his radio show and this was his ‘retaliation’ and the Independent State of Caledon declared war along with him.” Asturias said.
“The idea took about three weeks to conceive and plan out and a lot of people had input; it evolved as people came on board,” she added.
The event is just a proof what can a massive amount of people do, with a bit of creativity.
