Second Life Mines is a concept to create a building that looks like an old mine. There would be a shack to go with each mine. The Shack sells Avatars the picks, shovels, and explosives required to operate the Mine. Avatars use these purchased objects to mine for gold, silver or gems.
The gold, silver, or gems extracted from the mine are then redeemed by the Vendor who put the SL Mine & Shack on his/her Island. The payout can be redeemed for items the Vendor sells, or exchanged for Lindens($). Gems are a special object that provide Notecard links to special items Vendors want Avatars to see as a result of operating the mine.
This is similar to a slot machine / one-arm-bandit. The Avatar pays a Shack Fee for picks, shovels, and explosives. The wealth in the mine is established by how much the Avatar buys at the Shack. There is a fixed payout percentage for each tool used to extract wealth from the mine. (Perhaps, as Avatars become more experienced they can extract a higher percentage of wealth from the mine.)
A portion of the Shack Fee is held back immediately for the Vendor who owns the mine, and placed it on his/her Island. Once the Avatar has extracted the remaining wealth from the mine - the pick, shovel, or explosives will notify the Avatar they have broken, or run out. The Avatar will return to the Shack to purchase more mining tools and start again!
A Builder, and Scripter are both needed for this project. Please contact me through Second Life Project message system.
